Early Days

As with all good stories I will start at the beginning. In this instance that beginning is very black and white. My sisters and I were raised alongside a herd of 200 dairy cows; my father’s pride and joy! In 2000 the hard decision was made to swap those black and whites for a more doe eyed breed and create what became Godwin’s Ice Cream Farm, a family run farm specialising in the making and selling of beautiful Jersey ice cream.

Growth

The business went from strength to strength (for which we can only thank our local, truly loyal, ice cream lovers) until its sale in 2013. This was the point at which it was transformed into a Cornish-style café/ restaurant/deli and ice cream shop which, with its gorgeous decor and heavenly food, is the perfect addition to a relaxing fun filled day in the country.

The Farm Today

It was from these humble beginnings that the farm was able to develop and is now home to a veritable cornucopia of businesses, the details of which can be found on this website.

The family are still a big part of the farm and are forever looking to improve on what has been achieved to date. It is hoped that this website will be the first step to better communication of these plans….so watch this space.
